Zantherus aims to provide an environment that is as free as possible and attempts to minimize restrictions that may hinder a user's ability to post messages. In essence, it is the freedom of speech that Zantherus encourages. Despite this fact, there do needs to be boundaries set.
First and foremost, the golden rule of Zantherus is:
Use common sense.
While Zantherus can get silly at times, we ask that spam, off-topic posts or posts that attempt to hijack a thread should be avoided. The exception are the general discussion boards, Chatterbox and LOL FORUM. Spam is defined as a post that is irrelevant or does nothing at all to provoke thought or discussion in the topic.
Flaming is not strictly prohibited, although flaming done in an obviously sarcastic manner is allowed. If you are to flame a member, there will be no initial warning or punishment, but an eye will be closely watched by the administration team of Zantherus.
Zantherus has implemented an anti-double posting method. It is far from perfect and there are times where double posting may occur. We ask that you avoid it. Along with this rule, necromancy, or bringing up old threads, is discouraged but not prohibited.
In addition, we ask that "netspeak" be avoided. Of course, if done in an obviously sarcastic manner, it will be allowed. We wish that our members be literate and understood clearly; netspeak can distort this and it maintains a poor impression of the member who uses it.
These simple rules all are derived from the golden rule of Zantherus. We ask that you follow these guidelines and your time here at Zantherus will be enjoyable.
