So I've been dating this girl for five months, shes amazing but recently I've had thoughts of leaving her. She's around too much, i don't get enough time with my friends, she gets angry very easy, shes to preoccupied with sex (I know that's weird for a guy to say that but i'm different), she doesn't have a problem with not using protection but i never would without it, i like my life with no little mikes running around thank you very much, she also doesn't like me 'having fun' without her essentially, whenever i hang out with friends or do some kind of substance without her there, and it gets her pissed. I'm not one to be told what to do my someone who's not even my family.

She is a lovely girl, funny, pretty, smart and everything, but i feel if i broke it off i might be happier. I'm not sure though, and i hate hurting people. What made me think a lot about this was i wrote the first song (lyrics/music) i've liked in a long time, and it was about this. I'm not sure how much i mean everything in the words. Forgive my punctuation and spelling, i wrote this down in a hurry.

I'm just confused on what to do, and yes i've talked to her about some things on there, not helping or changing to the way i want at all.

If you know me, you know I'm one of the least qualified to give advice in this area, but I was really thinking that it isn't clear to me that you guys have communicated on these problems enough. It would make much more sense to me to talk about what needs fixing rather than just breaking these things completely.

I'm also very unqualified, but I'd make sure the problems were irreconcilable before splitting, if you really do like her that much.

welcome to life man, this is pretty much how every relationship is and will be, my advice is have a serious talk with her about it tell her your not happy anymore and if she willing to make some changes and give you some more freedom then continue the relationship, but if not you will become more un happy and this will just end badly. In my group of friends we call girls like this a "Suc-u-biss" which means she sucks you away from them and kills your fun. This has happened to me a few times so i made a 3 month rule, after 3 months if im not completely happy with how this are going with a girl i break things off before we become to involved and more un happy. anyways thats just my 2cents.

This is really the first serious relationship I've had, which is why it's so hard. The hardest part is hurting her feelings, I'm sensitive about other peoples feeling so it makes it hard, I'm such a pushover sometimes.

I'm 17, in a year I'll be 18, she's 16. When I'm 18 I'm not gonna be asking her what to do, especially since i won't even need to ask my parents anymore, so i can't do this shit with her. I'm gonna try to talk to her about it this weekend, at this rate, if i don't, it'll just end badly. Thanks for the advice everyone, especially Jer. That really helps a lot.

She's mad because she can't spend the night when my grandfather comes down this weekend lol. Like, shit this is ridiculous. She's lucky she can even spend the night usually. It just makes me laugh sometimes.
