Why is it that the spam bots didn't decide to invade until more recently?

We stopped paying our forum software's spam bot detection technology I think.

Sometimes I feel so sick at the state of the world I can’t even finish my second apple pie.

It's for the reasons Ziveeman stated. Our subscription to Invision Power's spam detection software ran out and in addition to that we're running on an older version of IP.Board so spambots can more easily register.

We should embrace these "spam bots". They entered illegally, yes, but they did work no one else was willing to do, eagerly, actively, without complaint.

I now question my administrative role in this government, as my very presence in this system offers my implicit assent to this government's suppression of free speech rights for such an industrious yet politically disadvantaged group.

I already deleted like 200+ bots so we're under 1,000 members. I'll meet you in the back alley and we can fight for control over Zantherus.
