So, within the past month or two, I played Portal (downloaded it back in August or whenever when it was free) and Portal 2. It had solid puzzles, intriguing story, nice graphics and environments... most of the time, plenty of allusions, and was humorous. Recommended by me.

So...was it a lie?

Sometimes I feel so sick at the state of the world I can’t even finish my second apple pie.

I've had Portal for the longest time, and it's a fun game. I lose interest in most games quickly though =/ Haven't touched Portal in awhile.

Only three things are infinite: the universe, human stupidity, and the number of Zubats in a dark cave

Portal is only a three hour game though. And yes, there were plenty of lies throughout it. I also found some relativity and quantum physics equation near the beginning of Portal 2, which was cool.

Portal 2 was a masterpiece. It held the spot of my favorite game until Skyrim came out.

I agree that Portal 2 is one of the best.

So, Skyrim has possessed you as well? I mean, I haven't played it but everyone else talks about it like it's the best thing ever. :P

Well, I've been playing the Elder Scrolls games since I could play games, basically. In fact, my entire motivation for building the first computer I ever built was to be able to run Morrowind. So yeah, I was waiting for Skyrim with bated breath, and man, it did not disappoint. It's the most engrossing gaming experience I have ever had.

People joke about video games killing their productivity, but I actually had to forcibly stop myself from playing Skyrim in order to get my work done. My bosses joke about it all the time now, if I ever take a sick day or something, they assume it's because I took on a particularly hard quest in Skyrim. Now that I've beaten the main quest and most of the guild quests, I'm not playing it as zealously, but it still gets 10-15 hours a week from me.

I would be very tempted to play Skyrim if it weren't for the fact that I would be spending all my time on it if I did. Maybe I'll play it after I retire. :P
